8A Wednesday', July 28, 2010 Portola Reporter The second stop in the Plumas Championship Series for gymkhana at the Plumas- Sierra fairgrounds took place this last Saturday. Improvement by many of the riders was apparent in strong times. Current leaders in the race for the silver buckle are Allie Davis, 7 - 12 age group, with 58 points, Kelsey Whitlow, 13 - 17 group with 6 points, and Chalise Galloway in the 18- plus age group with 15 points. Points are accrued based on the number of riders in each event and where they place. The next gymkhana is at the Plumas-Sierra County Fair Aug. 14. The final two dates are Sept. 18 and Oct. 2.
